The 29th Annual District Convention 2025, District 315B3, Bangladesh was convened at Bangladesh Lions Foundation (BLF) Auditorium, Lions Tower (Level-10), Agargaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh on Thursday the May 29, 2025 as per Convention Call of the Honorable District Governor - Sabbir Mohammad Sayem and conducted by the 1st Vice District Governor - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer in absence of the District Governor as follows: 

The 1st Vice District Governor constituted a convention committee for holding the convention with the following Lions Leaders of the District:  

 

 

 

Inaugural Session:

The participants and guests arrived at the venue at 09:00 AM and engaged in exchanging good wishes and fellowship. The invited Guests attended the function in time. The session was officially called to order by 1st Vice District Governor - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer. Telwat-E-Quran was performed by Lion Kazi Md. Abul Khair. Oath of Allegiance was conducted by Lion Sharmin Akter.

Lion Farhana Bakhsh, Honorable Council Chairperson ’2024-25, Lion Engr. Md. Selim Miah MJF, Honorable Council Chairperson ’2025-26, Past District Governors – Lion K.M Akhtaruzzaman MJF, Lion M.A Matin and Engr. Md. Wahidur Rahman Azad PMJF delivered their speech along with other guests. 

Vote of thanks

The meeting was then adjourned at the call by 1st Vice District Governor - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer. Then He invited all for Hi-Tea.

 

Delegate Session:

At 10:00 AM, the Delegate Session of the 29th Annual District Convention was called to order by 1st Vice District Governor - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer and afterwards, he requested the Election Commissioner – Lion Farhana Naz MJF, IPDG to conduct the delegate session. After that, the delegates exercised their voting rights in a befitting & transparent manner. The session commenced in the presence of the following three Dignitaries: Lion Farhana Bakhsh, Honorable Council Chairperson ’2024-25, Lion Engr. Md. Selim Miah MJF, Honorable Council Chairperson ’2025-26 and Lion Md. Shamsul Alam, Council Secretary & Treasurer ’2024-25. Additionally, District Governors, DG Elects, FVDG Elects, SVDG Elects from other Districts, along with the Election Committee Chairperson, delegates, and alternate delegates, were present at the beginning of the session.

Declaration of the result of election of District Governor, 1st Vice District Governor & 2nd Vice District Governor for the term of 2025-2026:

Election Committee Chairperson, IPDG Lion Farhana Naz MJF declared that Lion Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer has been elected as the District Governor, Lion Mohammad Ferdous Hassan has been elected as the 1st Vice District Governor and Lion Mohammad Jahangir Alam has been elected as the 2nd Vice District Governor for the term 2025-2026 for District 315 B3, Bangladesh.

The house welcomed the new DG, 1st VDG & 2nd VDG with thunderous applause.

In the Delegate session, Accounts & Audit report of 2023-24 was passed by the house unanimously.

Thereafter vote of thanks was offered by Lion Mohammad Ferdous Hassan, 1st Vice District Governor (Elect) to all the Guests and Participants.

After the declaration of the election results of DG, 1st VDG & 2nd VDG, the presiding Officer District Governor (Elect) - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer has adjourned the delegate Session.

 

Plenary Session

At 2.30 PM, The Session was called to order by the District Governor (Elect) - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer. Telawat-e-Quran was recited by Lion Kazi Md. Abul Khair. Oath of Allegiance was conducted by Lion Md. 

In this session, the Annual District activity report was not produced by Cabinet Secretary – Lion Md. Haroon Or Rashid PMJF as he was not presented in the Convention due to his recent living in Malaysia.

Thereafter, awards and gifts were not distributed by the District Governor- Sabbir Mohammad Sayem as he was not presented in the Convention. District Governor (Elect) - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer expressed his sorrows before the house due to nonfulfillment of the whole session as DG & CS were absent & there was no guideline or communication from them. 

Photo session was held at the conclusion of the plenary session.

 

Banquet Session

Banquet session as the concluding session of convention as assembly of participants and guests started at 3:00 PM. The participants assembled in time. Honorable Guests, DG Team and the members of the convention committee took the Dais. The Delegates, Alternate Delegates, Participants, Leos and Guests took their seats. Thereby session was called to order by the District Governor (Elect) - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer. Telawat E Quran was recited by Lion Kazi Md. Abul Khair, Oath of Allegiance was conducted by Lion Amzad Hossain Monir. Guests were introduced by Lion Md. Shamim Reza, LCIF District Coordinator ’2025-26. Lion Abdur Rahman, Convention Chairperson delivered the address of welcome. He expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Guests and Lion- Leo Leaders. Then he described the arrangement made by the committee as per advice of the DG Elect. He extended his gratefulness to the DG Elect for making all necessary arrangements and for extending cooperation to all for organizing such a function successfully.

Official Announcement of Election result of DG, 1st VDG & 2nd VDG (2025-2026) conducted by Election Committee Chairperson, IPDG Lion Farhana Naz MJF. Then presentation of flower bouquet to newly elected DG, 1st VDG & 2nd VDG by the Club Leaders, DG Team of all sub-districts, PCCs, PDGs, Guests of MD315.

The newly elected DG, 1st VDG & 2nd VDG were introduced to all. They delivered a short speech about their policies to be undertaken during the next coming Lionistic year. Courtesy speeches were also delivered by Guests Lion Farhana Bakhsh MJF, Honorable Council Chairperson ’2024-25, Lion Engr. Md. Selim Miah MJF, Honorable Council Chairperson ’2025-26, Past District Governors – Lion K.M Akhtaruzzaman MJF, Lion M.A Matin, Lion Alhaj Abdul Hoque MJF and Engr. Md. Wahidur Rahman Azad PMJF & congratulated newly Elected DG, 1st VDG & 2nd VDG & wished them all the best for next coming Lionistic year.

Thereafter vote of thanks was offered by the Convention Secretary – Lion Wais Mohammad Joy to all the Guests and Participants.

The meeting was then officially adjourned by the District Governor (Elect) - Shah Abu Rusd Al Muneer.
