District Governor Gary Cerasi
District Governor Gary Cerasi is entering his 31st year as a Lion. He started his Lion career, working at the Bloodview Haunted House in 1994, when it was starting to gain real “fame” and soon after that first day, he joined the Lions organization. He has enjoyed living his entire life as a giver and has taken real pride in helping many people over the years in many distinct aspects.
Gary has held every Lion’s office at the club level, some several times, and is proud of what his home club, the Broadview Heights Lion Club, has accomplished over the 30 years he has been a member.
At the State level, Gary has served as a Zone Chair, & Compliance Chairman for District OH-3. He is ready and willing to step into the District Governor role and make a difference. He looks forward to having “some fun” in his new role. Gary is a Melvin Jones Fellow and received the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation in 2023, as well. Gary received his bachelor’s degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1979 and has been a CPA for 44 years. He ran his own CPA firm for 32 years with a vast diverse group of clients but specialized in nonprofit law.
Gary is now retired and looking forward to using his newly acquired free time to assist District OH 3 in moving forward, and spending time with his seven children and 20 grandchildren.
