District 26-M5 was organized on 1 July 2008, however, the Lions of District 26-M5 have been in service to their communities for many years. The Lions of 26-M5 include Lions located generally in the far western Missouri counties of: Bates, Cass, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Ray, Saline, St. Clair and Vernon.
We are proud of our involvement in the vision program for our children. Many district clubs support dental assistance programs; recycle eyeglasses, sponsor a basketball tournament; provide scholarships for deserving and eligible high school students, we support organizations such as the Alphapointe, Children's Center for the Visually Impaired, KU Audio Reader program and many other worthwhile community projects.
Our district clubs are involved in raising funds to provide eye care for people in our communities who cannot afford it.
