Peace Poster Contest 2014

“PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING”

The International Peace Poster contest was created in 1988 by Lions Clubs International to create and foster a spirit of understanding amongst people of the world. The contest gives young people from all over the world an opportunity to artistically convey their vision of peace.

Competition Rules

  •  The contest is open to students who will be 11, 12 or 13 on November 15th, 2014. Eligible birth dates will therefore be between 16th November 2000 to 15th November 2003.
  •  Paper size must be no larger than 600mm by 500mm and no smaller than 550mm by 330mm.
  •  Only one entry per student, with each entry being their original creation.
  •  All types of media are accepted. Note : Chalk, charcoal and pastel entries should be sealed with a fixative spray so as to prevent smearing.
  •  Do not laminate or frame entries.
  •  Three dimensional entries will not be accepted. Nothing is allowed to be glued, stapled or attached to the artwork. No glitter to be put on the artwork.
  •  The use of lettering or numbering on the front of the poster is not permitted in any language.
  •  The artist’s full name, full date of birth and school name must be written clearly on the BACK of the poster.
  •  A three or four line (maximum 40 words) message to be written on the back of the poster. This message is to be written in student’s own words, explaining how the elements in their poster were motivated by this year’s theme.
