District 46 Student Speakers Contest is open to all highschool age students including home schooled students. 

Club level: Students will be issued cash, or a check written by the sponsoring Lions club. Checks should be cashed within 30 days of receipt.

Zone level: Students will be issued a check written by the Lions District  46 Treasurer, to be collected at the fall Cabinet meeting prior to the zone level contest. Checks should be cashed within 30 days of receipt.

Disbursement of scholarships at the Region level and Disrict level shall be paid by the Student Speaker Foundation Treasurer directly to the accredited institution during the first and second year of attendance.

Evidence of enrollment must be provided to the Foundation treasurer prior to each disbursement of funds to the accredited institution.

If for any reason the student does not continue their education immediately following graduation, they must notify the District 46 Student Speaker Foundation Treasurer. The scholarship winners shall be allowed seven years from the date of high school graduation to utilize thier scholarships. Any unused scholarship funds will revert to the District 46 Student Speakers Foundation.

 Note: It is the students responsibility to update and communicate with the District 46 Student Speaker Foundation. Failure to do so could result in the loss of the scholarship.
