Biography of Lion Surujpaul 'Terry' Singh
District Governor 60A
Lion Surujpaul ‘Terry’ Singh’ s Home Club is the Lions Club of Central Demerara, where he served in every office during his sixteen years of membership – becoming President in FY 2001/2002.
He moved on to serve the District Cabinet in a series of appointed positions – Zone Chairman, Region Chairman and also as District Chairperson for Leo Clubs.
Then came the elected positions of 2nd Vice District Governor, 1st Vice District Governor and at the most recent Multiple District Convention in Barbados, he received the approval of the voting delegates to become District Governor for FY 2011-2012.
The Lion District Governor has attended 32 Cabinet Meetings, 11 Multiple District Conventions and he is also the recipient of numerous Lionistic awards – the most recent being the International Presidents’ Certificate of Commendation. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
Horse Racing and motor racing are his ideas of great sports and he actively participated in these in the past.
The Lion District Governor is married and the father of three Cubs.
