Report of the Activity
Leadership Development Workshop for College Students
The slogan of the DLLI Committee for this year is “ Inspiration & Action”. We had conducted 2 Full Day Leadership Development Training Workshops for Lions club Leaders of Thane area & Chembur – Ghatkopar Area on 17th July 2016 & 28th August 2016 respectively till date so far. Now to inspire Youths, Leadership Development Workshop was organised on behalf of DLLI Team for the college students on 3rd October 2016 in October Service Week , between 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at Dnyansadhana college , Opp. Kopri Bridge, Thane – West.
MJF Lion Rajeush Ballamwar , Jt. Dist. Cabinet Secretary who was the “Keynote Speaker”, delivered a lecture on “Leadership Qualities” for about 1 & half hour. The objective of this workshop is to motivate the college students & develop their Leadership Qualities by creating interest in their mind & inspire them to become Leaders in their life .
Mrs. Lonkar , HOD, Mrs. Dandekar, Mrs. Patil, & other members, Prof. attended this program. The Leading clubs were Lioness & Lions Club of Thane Kopri . Ln Prakash Kanekar & Ln Vinita Khetwani, Presidents of both clubs & other Lion & Lioness members were present for this workshop. We appealed all students to become Leo members & to establish a New Leo club & to fill up the forms for the same.
Total 200 + students benefitted, inspired & inculcated the Leadership Qualities to do the Actions. 12 Lion & Lioness Members & 5 College Prof. Staff were present for this activity.
The next Leadership Development Training Workshop will be on 27th November 2016 at Navi Mumbai for the club Leaders of Navi Mumbai & Raigad District.
