Let’s Talk: Self-Care is a 90-minute hands-on virtual workshop that focuses on everyday awareness and simple tools you can actually use. Through guided activities and a printable workbook, you’ll check in with yourself, recharge, and explore practical approaches to self-care that can also be shared with others.

Hosted by LionsVirtual.org as part of the Lions Global Week of Service for Mental Health and Well-being, this session was created and will be facilitated by Lion Roger Chevrier of the Dogwood Monarch Lions Club, Chilliwack, BC.

It is open to everyone — Lions, Leos, friends, family, community members, and anyone who’s curious and wants to take part.

This is a hands-on workshop built around a printable PDF workbook, with space for real reflection and group connection. You’ll take part in two breakout sessions — one for a guided self-awareness activity (the Self-Care Radar), and one for group discussion based on real-life scenarios. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to practical tools like the Feeling Wheel, the Recharge Menu, and the Continue–Start–Stop reflection — all designed to help you notice what’s going on and respond with clear, doable actions. Everything you’ll use in the session is something you can return to later and share with others.

What to expect:

  • A guided self-awareness check-in using the Self-Care Radar
  • Breakout rooms for personal reflection and small-group discussion
  • Tools like the Feeling Wheel, Recharge Menu, and Continue–Start–Stop
  • A printable PDF workbook you can revisit or use with others
  • A welcoming space that’s structured but flexible
