Welcome to our Summer Place

On July 9, 1961,the first Camping session opened at our camp which is located North of Leesville. Not only were dreams being realized, but it was also only the beginning of what the Lions would accomplish through this endeavor.

Here is where a child with a disability is only a child

Here is where a youngster finds out that they can do what they try to do

Here is where lifelong friendships and Summer Camp Memories are made

Physically Challenged Camp: Two one week sessions are for youngsters with various challenges aged 7-19 who could benefit from such a camp program.

The days start and end with flag services and the hours between are packed with activity. A typical week at camp allows youngsters to meet new friends and to experience independence. The schedule fills the dayand the evening with regular camp activities like Swimming, Archery, Gun Safety, Field Sports, Crafts, Metal Detecting, Fishing, and Hiking, and Paddleboating. A whole camp activity takes place each like theme dances, campfires, luaus, carnival, Lions Club Sponsored Cookouts,an occasional Band, capture the Flag, and Kangaroo Court.
