At their 63rd Charter Night, Amherst Lions and Lioness made donations and presentations to worthy organizations inc. Christmas for Kids, Kidney Foundation, Little League, Vogue Optical.

Grade 4, 5 and 6 students at Bayview Community School participated in the Mahone Bay Area Lions Club’s 2017 Drug Awareness Poster Contest. The Grade 6 winners: L-R: 1st, Froya Smith; 2nd, Autumn Harnish and 3rd, Abigail Lanigan.

Digby and Area Lions, with help from RBC Digby Branch, Petvalu and others, raised over $4,000 at their annual Walk for Dog Guides.

A sunny afternoon on May 28th found 10 walkers and nine dogs in Mahone Bay to participate in the Lions Foundation of Canada’s annual Walk for Dog Guides.

The Summer Reading Club for ages 3 to 12 runs during the summer at all branches of the Cumberland Public Libraries. The Amherst Lions Club supports this program for children. Here Lion Rubin Millard presents a cheque to Youth Librarian Jenn Atkinson.
