The Lions Clubs International Marketing Award celebrates clubs that excel in promoting their service, events, and community impact, offering a chance for recognition and inspiration while strengthening visibility and membership. To enter, clubs must submit examples of their marketing materials—such as social media posts, flyers, videos, or news articles—along with a short description of their marketing strategy and results, plus the completed online submission form. Winning clubs will receive prizes, including cash awards, trophies, and certificates for their members, and all entries will help showcase the creativity and teamwork that drives Lions forward. The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2025—see flyer for details or contact Lion Linda Birch with any questions you may have.

California Lions MD-4 is seeking volunteers to support two historic back-to-back events aboard the Queen Mary: • MD-4 Council of Governors Meeting (Feb 18–19) • MD-4 Convention (Feb 20–22). Volunteers are needed for registration, hospitality, room support, workshops, ceremonies, social media, and event logistics. Flexible half-day and full-day shifts are available. Special Olympics Los Angeles (SOLA) Lions Club invites golfers and community supporters to Swing for a Cause at its annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Special Olympics athletes in Southeast Los Angeles County. Since 2009, SOLA Lions Club has proudly supported athletes with intellectual disabilities by funding training, competitions, and year-round athletic programs including swimming, bowling, softball, basketball, bocce ball, and golf. Tournament proceeds help fund competition venues, sports equipment and uniforms, referees and umpires, and awards and celebrations—ensuring athletes have the resources they need to thrive on and off the field.
