Guiding Lion Program In-Person Training Session
The Guiding Lion Program provides comprehensive training to enable Lions to better assist with initial help in guiding new clubs, and also be prepared to help in advising and strengthening existing clubs if called upon. It is great foundational training for any Lion in a current or future leadership position. It is also great supplemental training for Lions with past leadership position experience who are looking to lead in new ways. The program training consists of two parts: A course workbook (yes, a little homework!), continued with an in-person training session that discusses and expands upon it. You will receive a digital copy of the workbook emailed to you about a week before the session to preview, and a hard copy workbook at the session. The in-person Guiding Lion Program training session will be held from 9am to 2pm on Saturday November 8th at the Central Electrical Training Center, 33309 OR-99E, Tangent. MAP>> The training auditorium will be open by 8am. Light snacks will be provided. Training presenters and contributors will be: PCC Lynn Coon, PCC Steve Thompson, PCC & ID Candidate Phyllis Carlin, CCE Ed Glad and PDG Rod Bach. Lions helping Lions - The Guiding Lion Program provides comprehensive training to Lions to be able to assist clubs that are: newly chartered, established clubs in need of strengthening, or clubs who are rebuilding. While all Lions are welcome to take the course, it is encouraged as a foundation to anyone who will work with new or existing clubs, or serve (or plan to serve) in a leadership position. Upon completion of the course, you will become a Certified Guiding Lion!
