As I am packing my bags and the MSU to start my school year, I thought that I would post my schedule so that you would know where I am. Even though I’m not present in District N, I am always reachable.
If you are wanting to schedule a club visit and cannot reach me, you can always contact Darla (liondarlab@gmail.com). She is the keeper of my calendar. Also, don’t forget to invite me to your projects and events. I would love to be there if I’m in town.

Lions District 38-N Individual Assistance Fund Raffle 2026-2027
Thanks to all of the clubs who donated to the Individual Assistance Fund Raffle! There are 17 prizes this year for the raffle ranging in value from $50 to $500.
If your club was not represented at the cabinet meeting, then the 50 tickets to sell at $1 per ticket were mailed to the President of the club. A letter will also be emailed to the President and Secretary of each club explaining the raffle. The funds support medical needs of individuals in a club’s community with the District matching the club’s gift up to $500. So let’s reach out to friends and fellow Lions to make this raffle a big success!- Your in service, FVDG Lin Hughes

Project New Hope
Free Retreats for Military Families whose lives have been affected by their military service. Upcoming retreat in Nebraska will be October 30th – November 1st at Camp Carol Joy Holling in Ashland. PNH is a Lion’s club program that partners with the VA. Funding comes primarily from Lions clubs as well as volunteers to help with childcare so adults can participate in sessions provided by counselors from the Lincoln Vet Center.
Will plan to have a Lions sponsored Halloween Trunk or Treat at the camp for the PNH group on October 31st. More information will be coming out on that.
Military families or individuals that want to attend can register at MD38.com and go to camp. There is a limit of 10 veteran family groups. For more information or to help contact Lion Debbie Grimes, Nebraska PNH Coordinator at 308-627-7107. Donations appreciated and can be made to NLF – Project New Hope can go to Treasurer Donna Darell.
