District 4-L2 Lion and LEO Rose Float Decoration Day

District 4-L2 invites all LEOs and Lions to participate in the 2026 Rose Parade “In Harmony, We Serve” Volunteer Decorating Day on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Phoenix Decorating Company in Irwindale. Volunteers will help prepare and decorate the Lions Rose Float, working alongside teams from across the district to bring this year’s theme to life. All participants must register online in advance and review the required instructions and waiver. LEO Clubs must attend with two California Mandated Reporter–certified leaders. Wristbands for lunch will be issued only to volunteers arriving by 9:00 a.m., and pizza will be provided. Please check the Lions Float website for dress guidelines. Crescenta Valley Lions Club Food Drive for The Bailey Center

With the belief that food is a basic human right, community members are encouraged to come together and donate essential non-perishable food items. ❤️ Donations may be dropped off on Cross Street near the event location for easy and convenient access. 🚗⬆️ This food drive provides meaningful and immediate support to community members in need. California Lions Foundation – Mental Health, Youth & First Responders Grants

The California Lions Foundation is now accepting applications for its Mental Health, Youth, and First Responders Grants for the 2025 funding cycle. Lions clubs across MD-4 are encouraged to apply for support that strengthens local programs addressing mental wellness, youth development, and first responder needs. The application period runs from October 1 through December 30, 2025. Each Lions district may receive up to $2,000 in total funding, with individual club grants capped at $500. Clubs are urged to apply early and ensure their project proposals align with community priorities. For assistance or questions, please contact Lion David Williamson. The Lions Clubs International Marketing Award celebrates clubs that excel in promoting their service, events, and community impact, offering a chance for recognition and inspiration while strengthening visibility and membership. To enter, clubs must submit examples of their marketing materials—such as social media posts, flyers, videos, or news articles—along with a short description of their marketing strategy and results, plus the completed online submission form. Winning clubs will receive prizes, including cash awards, trophies, and certificates for their members, and all entries will help showcase the creativity and teamwork that drives Lions forward. The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2025—see flyer for details or contact Lion Linda Birch with any questions you may have.
